PowerChina Signs EPC Contract for Sajalices Photovoltaic Project in Panama

Recently, POWERCHINA met with Sajalices Energy at its regional headquarters in Panama to finalize the EPC contract for the 530-megawatt Sajalices Photovoltaic Project. Counselor Zhou Quan from the Chinese Embassy in Panama highlighted POWERCHINA's notable achievements in renewable energy, expressing a commitment to making the project a benchmark for China-Panama collaboration in this sector.

Zhang Guolai, general manager of POWERCHINA Americas, emphasized that the signing signifies a major milestone in enhancing POWERCHINA’s foothold in Latin America and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.

Upon completion, the project is expected to improve Panama's clean energy supply, support its carbon neutrality objectives, stimulate regional economic growth, and create numerous job opportunities. The project encompasses all phases, including design, procurement, construction, and performance testing.
