[Eramet's Argentina Plant Successfully Delivers First Batch of Lithium Carbonate]
Recently, Eramet Group announced that its Centenario plant, located in Salta Province, Argentina, has successfully delivered its first batch of lithium carbonate. This achievement marks a significant step for Eramet in lithium resource development. The plant is the world's first industrial-scale facility to adopt Eramet's advanced Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology. The Centenario plant has a designed capacity of 24,000 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate per year. Once it reaches full production, its costs are expected to rank among the lowest 25% in the industry. This milestone was achieved in less than three years since Eramet began constructing the plant.
