Weekly Steel Shipment Volume Nationwide Declined Slightly in Late December 2024

The total steel shipment volume from ports nationwide, according to SMM, was 749.5 mt, down 24,600 mt WoW, a decrease of 0.3%. Among them, the total shipment volume from the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin New Port, Huanghua Port, and Jinzhou Port) was 2.7211 million mt, down 34,600 mt WoW, accounting for 36% of the total shipment volume.

The total shipment volume from the three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, and Lanbei Port) was 693,100 mt, up 147,900 mt WoW, accounting for 9% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port and Fangchenggang) was 479,700 mt, down 53,100 mt WoW, accounting for 6% of the total shipment volume.
