This week, zinc downstream consumption showed mixed performance. The production of galvanizing and zinc oxide declined as the weather gradually cooled and year-end approached, due to the arrival of the off-season for some end-user orders and company holidays. In contrast, the production of die-casting zinc alloy increased this week, driven by the completion of equipment maintenance at some major factories and the resumption of production at certain enterprises, leading to a rise in operating rates.
