Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Achieves Notable Success in Aluminum Industry

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has achieved remarkable success in the aluminum industry, with construction completed for an aluminum capacity of 6.51 million mt, ranking second nationwide. Among this, the annual aluminum production is 6.338 million mt, and the post-aluminum processing production is 5.093 million mt, forming an aluminum industry cluster centered around Baotou and Tongliao.

Baotou City has shown outstanding performance in this industry, with an aluminum capacity of 2.801 million mt, accounting for 6.2% of the national total capacity and 43% of the region's capacity. Additionally, Baotou is home to 32 downstream aluminum processing enterprises, with an overall processing capacity of 3.68 million mt, covering a variety of high-end products such as high-purity aluminum, high-purity alumina, formed foil, plate/sheet, strip and foil, aluminum wheel hubs, automotive steering knuckles, and brackets.
