Zinc Ingot Inventory Declines Across Seven Regions, SMM Survey Finds

[SMM Data] SMM reported on December 26: According to the SMM survey, as of this Thursday (December 26), the total zinc ingot inventory across seven regions tracked by SMM stood at 65,200 mt, down by 17,000 mt from December 19 and by 4,900 mt from December 23, with domestic inventory recording a decline. Inventory in Shanghai increased slightly due to the continuous inflow of imported zinc ingots during the week, coupled with the arrival of domestic zinc ingots under long-term contracts. Inventory in Tianjin decreased as warehouse arrivals in Tianjin showed no improvement during the week, leading to a continued decline in zinc ingot inventory. Inventory in Guangdong also decreased, as warehouse arrivals in the region were limited during the week, and spot zinc ingots continued to flow to the east China market, resulting in an overall inventory decline. Overall, the combined inventory of the three regions decreased by 5,000 mt, while the total inventory across seven regions dropped by 4,900 mt.
