[SMM Hot Topic: "Trade-In" Drives Consumption, Policies in Many Regions Show Remarkable Results] Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Commerce has taken the lead in implementing the trade-in policy for consumer goods, jointly issuing a series of policy documents with relevant departments, increasing financial support, improving the work promotion system, and coordinating efforts to promote energy-efficient vehicle replacements, smart upgrades for home appliances, kitchen and bathroom renovations, as well as trade-ins for electric bicycles. These efforts aim to accelerate the establishment of an effective mechanism that makes "getting rid of the old easier and embracing the new more desirable." Local governments have tailored and refined implementation plans based on regional conditions, effectively utilizing central fiscal funds and ultra-long-term special treasury bonds to continuously expand the coverage of the trade-in policy. Since the launch of this initiative, participation from all parties has been high, the enthusiasm for trade-ins remains strong nationwide, and the policy has achieved remarkable results.
