According to SMM's imported ore cost-profit table, profits from imported ore rose slightly. SMM reported global iron ore shipments at 32.53 million mt, up 1.8% MoM. Among them, Australian shipments fell slightly by 4.3% MoM, while Brazil's shipments surged significantly by 29.6% MoM. With the end of previous influencing factors, Brazil's shipments increased notably this week. Iron ore supply remained ample. Additionally, pig iron production is still expected to decline this week. Considering that steel mills have gradually started pre-holiday restocking, traders showed a stronger sentiment to stand firm on quotes, which may provide some short-term support to ore prices. Imported ore profits are expected to fluctuate in the near term.
