Nationwide Steel Shipment Volume Rose 15% MoM in Week of 2024.12.7-2024.12.13

Last week (2024.12.7-2024.12.13),

the total steel shipment volume from ports nationwide, according to SMM, was 8.6758 million mt, up 1.1295 million mt MoM, an increase of 15%. Among them, the total shipment volume from the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin Xingang Port, Huanghua Port, Jinzhou Port) was 3.49 million mt, up 520,100 mt MoM, accounting for 40% of the total shipment volume.

The total shipment volume from the three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, Lanbei Port) was 588,000 mt, down 203,700 mt MoM, accounting for 7% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port, Fangchenggang) was 407,100 mt, down 2,100 mt MoM, accounting for 5% of the total shipment volume.
