[SMM Survey: The 2024 Annual "Cornerstone Plan Progress" Is Here!] In recent years, the country has placed great emphasis on energy resource security. Under the backdrop of the Cornerstone Plan, the entire steel industry has been focusing on the energy security of iron ore. The progress of various large-scale mine and beneficiation plant projects is in full swing as planned! According to SMM tracking statistics, since the beginning of this year, China has seen the construction, expansion, and putting into operation of large-scale mine and beneficiation plants involving approximately 160 million mt of raw ore capacity and about 50 million mt of concentrate capacity. The new capacity mainly comes from large central state-owned enterprises and state-owned enterprises, primarily concentrated in Liaoning, Hebei, Xinjiang, and south-west China...
