SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price is 78,145 yuan/mt, down 142 yuan/mt from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate is 77,250-79,250 yuan/mt, with an average price of 78,250 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate is 74,500-75,500 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,000 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous working day.
Demand side, some downstream material plants are expected to reduce production schedules, and with year-end approaching, destocking sentiment is strong, leading to weaker purchasing sentiment. Supply side, upstream lithium chemical smelters have a strong sentiment to stand firm on quotes as the time for long-term contract negotiations approaches. Overall, actual market transactions are relatively sparse, with traders purchasing high-quality cargo. Considering the trend of future demand changes, lithium carbonate spot prices are expected to show sideways movement with a slight downward space.
