SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price is 78,287 yuan/mt, up 336 yuan/mt from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate is 77,300-79,500 yuan/mt, with an average price of 78,400 yuan/mt, up 200 yuan/mt from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate is 74,450-75,450 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,950 yuan/mt, up 200 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Demand side, some downstream material plants are expected to reduce production schedules, leading to weak purchasing sentiment. Supply side, lithium chemical smelters are standing firm on quotes as the long-term contract negotiation period approaches. Traders generally have an optimistic outlook on future demand, resulting in relatively positive purchasing sentiment, which boosts spot transaction prices of lithium carbonate. Considering future demand changes, lithium carbonate spot prices are expected to show sideways movement with a slight downward trend.
