Romanian Aluminum Producer Alro Reports Significant Improvement in Q1-Q3 2024 Performance

Romanian aluminum producer Alro recently released its performance report for the first three quarters of 2024, showing significant improvement. The report indicated that the company's revenue was up 13% YoY, reaching 2.54 billion Romanian Lei, compared to 2.24 billion Romanian Lei in the same period last year. This increase was mainly due to the rise in aluminum prices and improved demand. Additionally, the ALRO Group successfully turned a profit in the first three quarters, with a net profit of 126.8 million Romanian Lei, compared to a net loss of 394 million Romanian Lei in the same period last year, demonstrating outstanding performance. The profit growth was attributed to the increase in liquid aluminum production from aluminum scrap and the growth in sales of value-added aluminum products, which effectively improved the company's cost structure.
