Iron ore futures experienced weaker and volatile trading today. The main contract I2501 closed at 756, with a full-day decline of 1.37%. Trading activity in the market was generally moderate today. Transaction prices fell by 5-10 yuan/tonne compared to yesterday; Important industry data was released today, showing a slight decline in total crude steel production, accompanied by a slight decrease in apparent demand. Total inventories continued to decline, but the rate of decline narrowed. Overall, the data performance was decent.
