[SMM Daily Review of Rebar: Steel Prices Fluctuate and Decline - Have Macroeconomic Expectations Been Dashed?] This week, rebar prices fluctuated, with the national average price of rebar at 3,512 yuan/tonne, a weekly decline of 30 yuan/tonne. The spot market showed overall fluctuating weakness, as supply-demand contradictions in the real market gradually accumulated. Macroeconomic decisions did not materialize mid-week, leading the market to adopt a cautious stance, and steel prices faced difficulties in moving up or down. On the cost side, iron ore prices fluctuated, and although coke prices were adjusted downward, finished steel prices did not rise, and profits for long-process steel mills did not improve. In the short-process sector, profits also declined due to tight scrap steel supply and poor shipments...
