According to the SMM imported ore cost and profit statement, profits from imported ore have risen slightly. As of October 25, the total inventory monitored by SMM at 35 ports amounted to 149.33 million tonnes, a decrease of 0.4 million tonnes from the previous week and an increase of 43.58 million tonnes year-on-year. The average daily port discharge of imported ore was 3.102 million tonnes, a decrease of 42,000 tonnes from the previous week but an increase of 270,000 tonnes year-on-year. Iron ore prices experienced weak fluctuations. Recently, steel mills' restocking pace fell short of expectations, resulting in a slight decline in port discharge. High port inventories are pressuring ore prices. It is challenging for iron ore prices to rise in the short term, and it is expected that iron ore profits will mainly fluctuate in the near future.
