[SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Review: LC2411 Main Contract Falls 3.07%] On October 16, the LC2411 main contract for lithium carbonate fell by 3.07%. According to data, the LC2411 main contract for lithium carbonate opened at 73,700 yuan/ton and closed at 71,150 yuan/ton on the day, with a trading volume of 133,323 contracts and an open interest of 188,680 contracts, an increase of 1,780 contracts from the previous trading day. SMM's spot quotation for battery-grade lithium carbonate was 74,200-76,600 yuan/ton on the same day, with an average price of 75,400 yuan/ton, a decrease of 200 yuan/ton from the previous working day. In terms of price movement, lithium carbonate prices fluctuated downwards after opening, rallied slightly in the afternoon before plunging sharply, and continued to fluctuate downwards to an intraday low in the final session, ending the day with a 3.07% decline.
