LME Copper Falls 1.33%, Shanghai Copper Declines 0.39% in Overnight Trading

Overnight, LME copper opened at $9,540.5/ton, rallied initially and peaked at $9,602.5/ton, but then saw a wide range of fluctuations downwards throughout the session. As the trading session neared its close, it dipped below $9,520/ton and finally settled at $9,520/ton, marking a decrease of 1.33%. Trading volume reached 22,000 lots, while open interest stood at 283,000 lots. For Shanghai copper, the main contract 2411 opened at 76,340 yuan/ton overnight. After a slight uptick initially, it fell and dipped below 76,380 yuan/ton. However, it then rallied and peaked at 76,710 yuan/ton before experiencing volatility throughout the session. It finally settled at 76,590 yuan/ton, with a decrease of 0.39%. Trading volume reached 29,000 lots, and open interest stood at 152,000 lots.
