[SMM Copper Spot] The mainstream flat-water copper in the day quoted a discount of RMB 70/ton to RMB 40/ton against the contract for the current month, while high-quality copper was quoted at a discount of RMB 30/ton to a premium of RMB 10/ton. Due to the concentrated arrival of imported copper and the continued influx of imported copper into domestic trade until late October, holders of copper were obviously more proactive in unloading before the delivery of the SHFE copper 2410 contract. However, constrained by limited incremental copper consumption and further compression of electrolytic copper orders by waste utilization enterprises resuming production after the National Day holiday, it is expected that the premium will continue to decline under pressure tomorrow.
