Steel Demand Remains Essentially Unchanged, Hot-rolled Coil Prices May Face Pressure Post-Holiday" In terms of fundamentals, some steel mills are still transitioning their production lines, with hot-rolled coil production continuing to decline on a week-on-week basis this week, but the decline narrowed significantly. Futures performance showed mixed results, with terminal demand not showing strong sustained growth. Social inventory continued to decline, but the decline also narrowed. Meanwhile, pre-holiday procurement activity was slightly stronger, and mill inventory also decreased. Under the combined influence, total inventory decreased by 161,000 tons. For the future, driven by profits, hot-rolled coil production may remain low in the short term.
