Vast Sodium Secures 375 Million Yuan Deal for 10,000-Ton Sodium Battery Cathode Material Factory and R&D Center in Yancheng Binhai

[Sodium Battery Cathode: Vast Sodium Signs 375 Million Yuan Contract for 10,000 Tons of Sodium Battery Cathode Materials with Yancheng Binhai] On September 24, 2024, Zhejiang Vast Sodium Technology Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the investment of 375 million yuan in the construction of a 10,000-ton sodium-ion battery cathode material factory and R&D center in the Zero-Carbon Industrial Park at Binhai Port, Binhai County, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. The project is expected to commence construction in October 2024. The project will invest in layered oxide cathode O3-phase materials and polyanionic cathode NFPP materials in a 1:1 ratio to optimize production processes and material performance.

Production Plant: The company will lease an 8,095-square-meter factory dedicated to the annual production of 10,000 tons of sodium-ion battery cathode materials.

R&D Center: An additional 1,395 square meters of space will be leased for the establishment of a research and development center focused on sodium-ion battery cathode materials.
