The Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission has released a plan to promote large-scale equipment upgrades in the energy sector, primarily focusing on the renovation and upgrading of clean power generation facilities, including wind power, photovoltaics, and hydropower.
In the area of wind power, based on relevant management measures, the plan encourages the orderly retirement and upgrading of wind turbine units that have been in operation for over 15 years, particularly those with a single unit capacity of less than 1.5 megawatts, aiming to enhance their installed capacity and power generation efficiency.
For photovoltaic power stations, the plan advocates upgrading low-power and low-conversion-efficiency photovoltaic modules without increasing land occupation, thereby improving power generation efficiency and safety performance.
Moreover, hydropower stations are also encouraged to update their main and auxiliary electrical equipment, such as turbines, generator stators, hydraulic equipment, and excitation equipment, to enhance power generation efficiency.
