The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price stood at 74,459 yuan/ton, up 318 yuan/ton from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 73,000 to 76,200 yuan/ton, with an average price of 74,600 yuan/ton, marking a 350 yuan/ton increase from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 69,800 to 70,800 yuan/ton, averaging at 70,300 yuan/ton, and increased by 525 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day. As downstream material and battery cell factories are in the peak season's stockpiling phase, production schedules have increased. Against this backdrop, inquiries and procurement activities from some downstream enterprises have increased, slightly reviving the previously sluggish spot trading market for lithium carbonate. This week, due to the surge in production schedules and higher demand from some downstream manufacturers, coupled with the sustained weakness in the overall operating rate of upstream smelters, lithium carbonate witnessed a slight decline in inventory. Consequently, both futures and spot market prices have been adjusted upwards.
