The Implementation Opinions of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee and the Autonomous Region People's Government on Comprehensively Promoting the Construction of Beautiful Inner Mongolia propose that it is imperative to establish a robust northern sand prevention belt. In the work of sand control, it is necessary to adhere to the combination of increasing greenery and sand control, as well as the integration of natural restoration and artificial repair. Based on varying degrees of desertification, regional governance should be implemented. The focus should be on winning the critical battle in the "Meandering Bend" region of the Yellow River, eradicating the two major sandy areas of Horqin and Hunshandake, and launching the defensive battle along the Hexi Corridor to the edge of the Taklimakan Desert. Sandy land governance should be promoted in accordance with local conditions, with a scientific approach to restoring sandy vegetation and implementing integrated projects for sand prevention, wind power, and photovoltaics. Successful experiences such as the Dengkou Model, Kubuqi Model, and photovoltaic sand control model should be promoted, and the development of unique tourism and forestry-grassland industries in sandy areas should be fostered while protecting the environment. Cooperation with countries such as Mongolia, Japan, and South Korea in the field of sandstorm prevention and control should be strengthened to promote the sharing of sandstorm monitoring data and technical exchanges and cooperation.
