The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price stood at 74,752 yuan/ton, an increase of 188 yuan/ton from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 72,100 to 77,600 yuan/ton, with an average price of 74,850 yuan/ton, up 150 yuan/ton from the previous day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 69,450 to 70,350 yuan/ton, averaging 69,900 yuan/ton, also rising 150 yuan/ton compared to the previous day. The transaction price center of the lithium carbonate spot market shifted slightly upwards. Affected by the futures market, some lithium salt factories whose prices closely track the futures prices have raised their quotations. Downstream material factories conducted some transactions at lower prices earlier, but currently, they are adopting a cautious wait-and-see attitude and making few purchases as the futures prices rebound. Overall, the trading activity in the lithium carbonate spot market remains relatively sluggish. Given the current oversupplied market, lithium carbonate prices will continue to weaken.
