The demand growth for power battery installation is fluctuating. In 2019, demand grew by 10%; in 2020, 64GWh of power batteries were installed in domestically sold vehicles, with a demand growth of 2%; in 2021, 155GWh of power batteries were installed, marking a demand growth of 143%; in 2022, 295GWh were installed, with a demand growth of 91%; and in 2023, 388GWh were installed. In July 2024, 42GWh of lithium batteries were installed, a year-on-year increase of 29%. Among them, 11.4GWh of ternary batteries were installed, accounting for 27%, lower than the same period last year; while 30GWh of lithium iron phosphate batteries were installed, accounting for 72%, indicating a slowdown in the growth of ternary batteries. From January to July, 245GWh of lithium batteries were installed, a year-on-year increase of 29%.
