Zaporizhzhia Aluminum Plant Auction Fails Again, No Buyers Despite Halved Price

On August 6, the State Property Fund attempted to auction 97.5% of the shares of Zaporizhzhia Aluminum Plant Joint Stock Company (ZALK) for the first time, but failed. No one was willing to buy such assets afterward. The starting price of the auction was 151.9 million hryvnia. The re-auction was scheduled for August 14 with the price halved to 75.93 million hryvnia. However, there were no participants this time, as evidenced by the agreement on the results of the electronic auction.

The absence of buyers at the auction of Zaporizhzhia Aluminum Smelter led to the failure of the auction. This is the second time the company has failed to sell due to the lack of interested investors.
