Nantong, Jiangsu Launches "Offshore Wind + Storage" & "PV + Storage" Pilot Projects for Future Industries Growth

[Nantong, Jiangsu: Pilot Projects for "Offshore Wind Power + Energy Storage" and "Photovoltaic + Energy Storage" Launched] On August 9, the Nantong Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province issued a notice of the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Future Industries" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions").

The "Opinions" point out that in terms of new energy storage, relying on the existing foundation of the energy storage industry, pilot projects for "Offshore Wind Power + Energy Storage" and "Photovoltaic + Energy Storage" will be carried out. The electrochemical energy storage route will be expanded, and key enterprises will be supported in researching and developing solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, flow batteries, etc. Additionally, frontier technologies in the fields of mechanical energy storage and hydrogen energy storage will be developed, with a focus on attracting and nurturing a batch of key enterprises, and exploring the construction of a series of demonstration projects.
