LME & SHFE Copper Prices Rise Sharply Overnight, LME Ends 2.23% Higher

【SMM Morning Meeting Summary: Overnight, LME copper opened at $8,960.5/t, and after a slight increase at the beginning of the session, the focus sank to touch a low of $8,939.5/t. Subsequently, the price climbed steadily throughout the session, reaching a high of $9,062/t intraday. Towards the end of the session, it experienced slight fluctuations and ultimately closed at $9,028/t, marking a 2.23% increase. Trading volume reached 16,000 lots, and open interest stood at 283,000 lots. The main SHFE copper contract 2409 opened overnight at 72,400 yuan/t and immediately touched a low of 72,200 yuan/t at the beginning of the session. It then rose steadily, reaching an intraday high of 73,220 yuan/t. Towards the end of the session, it consolidated horizontally and ultimately closed at 72,900 yuan/t, representing a 1.7% increase. Trading volume amounted to 59,000 lots, and open interest reached 168,000 lots.】
