The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index stood at 84,709 yuan/ton, marking a rise of 118 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day. The price range for battery-grade lithium carbonate was 82,900-86,800 yuan/ton, with an average price of 84,850 yuan/ton, remaining unchanged from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 79,200 to 80,600 yuan/ton, averaging at 79,900 yuan/ton, also unchanged from the previous day. The transaction price center of the lithium carbonate spot market shifted slightly upwards. At present, there is no shortage of low-priced lithium carbonate circulating in the market. Downstream material factories and traders have become slightly more active in inquiry, opting to buy at lower prices when opportunities arise. Some lithium salt plants are also in the process of inventory reduction, which is expected to lead to a decline in transaction prices. Overall, the sluggish trading conditions in the lithium carbonate spot market have eased compared to before. In such a scenario of oversupply, lithium carbonate prices are expected to remain weak.
