The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index stands at 84,591 yuan/ton, down 1,053 yuan/ton from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate ranges from 82,900 to 86,800 yuan/ton, with an average price of 84,850 yuan/ton, a decrease of 1,050 yuan/ton from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranges from 79,200 to 80,600 yuan/ton, with an average price of 79,900 yuan/ton, down 1,050 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The transaction price center of the lithium carbonate spot market continues to move downwards. Although the long-term contracts and customer supplies of material factories can currently meet basic production needs, and there is no clear intention to stockpile inventory, some material factories choose to buy at a low price when prices are low. Some lithium salt factories, concerned about the future price trend of lithium carbonate, have eased their price-holding sentiment to avoid excessive inventory backlog. In such a situation of supply exceeding demand, lithium carbonate prices will continue to be weak.
