[SMM Daily Review of Hot-rolled Coil: Impact of Maintenance Decreased This Week? Trading of Hot-rolled Coil Turned Poor] After the overnight futures market of hot-rolled coil strengthened today, the intraday price faced pressure and weakened in a volatile manner, closing at 3757 with a slight increase of 0.06% in the afternoon. The futures market showed a volatile trend, while the trading atmosphere in the spot market weakened somewhat, with downstream players adopting a more cautious stance, leading to a poor trading performance of hot-rolled coil intraday. In terms of supply, according to SMM statistics, the impact of maintenance on hot-rolled coil this week was 112,000 tons, a decrease of 36,500 tons compared with last week. The impact of maintenance on hot-rolled coil next week is expected to be 136,400 tons, an increase of 24,400 tons compared with this week. It is anticipated that there is still room for a slight increase in the output of hot-rolled coil this week. In terms of demand, the steel market is in the off-season, and demand is still difficult to improve significantly. Overall, the driving force for hot-rolled coil prices in both directions is not strong in the short term, and it is expected to maintain a volatile trend.
