On June 4, silicon metal prices in East China remained largely stable, with standard 553# at 129,000-131,000 yuan/mt, and above-standard 553# at 130,000-132,000 yuan/mt, and 421# at 135,000-137,000 yuan/mt. As Sichuan officially enters the rainy season, the supply of silicon metal increases. Recently, many silicon companies have reported that the sentiment of silicon buyers to press prices is growing again. Some standards silicon companies slightly lowered their prices by 50-100 yuan/mt from a week ago, but most silicon companies' prices remain largely stable. The silicon spot market remained quiet with continued stalemate between upstream and downstream.
