Yunnan Aims to Foster Green Aluminum, Silicon Photovoltaic, and New Energy Battery Industries, Targeting Growth and Cluster Development

Wang Yubo, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, stated that it is necessary to cultivate and expand the green aluminum, silicon photovoltaic, and new energy battery industries. Yunnan's green aluminum production capacity has increased from 1.68 million tons in 2017 to 6.33 million tons, and the added value of the silicon photovoltaic industry has maintained a growth rate of over 25% for 22 consecutive months. The new energy battery industry has achieved a breakthrough development from scratch, becoming a strong driving force for industrial economic growth.

Wang Yubo emphasized that Yunnan will promote these three industries, extend the industry chain, and develop clusters, making Yunnan a truly worthy "China Green Aluminum Valley", "Capital of Photovoltaics", and "Important Base for China's New Energy Battery Industry".
