The U.S. released the four-year review results of the Section 301 tariffs on China, announcing further increases in tariffs on imports from China, including electric vehicles, lithium cells, photovoltaic cells, critical minerals, semiconductors, steel and aluminum, port cranes, personal protective equipment, and other products. In response, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products stated on the 15th that currently, China's export share of electric vehicles and photovoltaic cells to the U.S. is minimal. For example, in 2023, the export value of China's electric vehicles to the U.S. accounted for less than 1% of the total export value of such products, and the export share of China's photovoltaic cells to the U.S. was only 0.2%. Therefore, the U.S. tariff increase will not have a substantial impact on China's electric vehicle and photovoltaic cell industries as a whole. (CCTV News)
