ThyssenKrupp's sales in the second fiscal quarter were 9.1 billion euros, lower than the same period last year." ThyssenKrupp released its financial results for the second quarter of the 2023/2024 fiscal year, with order volume and sales of 8.6 billion euros and 9.1 billion euros, respectively, lower than the same period last year. The main reason was the decline in prices and demand for material services and steel European business. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were 184 million euros. ThyssenKrupp currently expects sales in the 2023/2024 fiscal year to be lower than last year; the expected adjusted EBIT remains unchanged and will rise to the high single-digit billion euro range; free cash flow before mergers and acquisitions is expected to be limited to the low single-digit billion euro range.
