According to SMM data, the total production of bauxite in China in April 2024 (30 days) was 4.6907 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.99% and a month-on-month increase of 2.61%. In April, the domestic bauxite production remained stable compared with March. There was no clear news about the resumption of production for mines in Shanxi and Henan that had been shut down. The overall production of bauxite in April remained at a low level, with a significant decrease compared with the production in 2023.
