In March 2024, China imported 505,100 tons of sheet metal, representing a month-on-month increase of 11.16% and a year-on-year decrease of 14.71%. From January to March 2024, China imported a total of 1,467,500 tons of sheet metal, down 9.69% year-on-year.

In March, China exported a total of 6,853,800 tons of sheet metal, representing a month-on-month increase of 33.87% and a year-on-year increase of 29.85%. From January to March 2024, China exported a total of 17,937,800 tons of steel products, up 40.04% year-on-year. Among them, the exports of hot-rolled, cold-rolled, medium and heavy plate, coated plate (strip), electrical steel plate (strip) and other sheet metals all showed significant year-on-year growth.
