Lithium Hydroxide Battery Material Project with An Annual Output of 50,000 Tons of Albemarle in Sichuan Province Officially Put into Operation.

On April 26, the lithium hydroxide battery material project invested by American Albemarle Company with 900 million US dollars in Meishan, Sichuan officially started production. As Albemarle's largest fixed asset investment project in China, it is expected to reach an annual output value of 5 billion yuan after reaching full production, meeting the power demand of over 1.5 million new energy vehicles and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 100 million tons within the battery life cycle. According to the production schedule, the project is expected to achieve a production capacity of 10,000 tons and an output value of about 1 billion yuan this year. Once the base is fully completed, it will accelerate Meishan's construction into a new energy and new material manufacturing base in the Chongqing-Chengdu region, playing an important role in promoting the high-quality development of the lithium-ion battery industry.
