2024 Sodium Battery: Stabilizing Sodium Battery Industry Position with Energy Storage Projects
In the 2023 annual board of directors' operating review, Weike stated that the energy storage sodium battery demonstration project is aimed at solidifying the position of the sodium battery industry. The strategic implementation of the sodium battery project includes the following achievements: 1) the successful commissioning of the energy storage sodium battery production line at the Nanchang base, establishing the first GW-level sodium battery production line in China. The production line held its commissioning ceremony in May 2023, concurrently releasing three sodium battery products developed by the research institute; 2) the commissioning of the cylindrical sodium battery production line at the Ningbo base after completing full-line debugging, showcasing mass production capabilities. The developed high-rate cylindrical sodium battery products showed good performance during testing at customer sites.
