On April 12th, data from the General Administration of Customs showed that China exported 9.888 million tons of steel in March 2024, an increase of 37.9% month-on-month and 25.52% year-on-year.

In March, China imported a total of 617,000 tons of steel, an increase of 17.4% month-on-month but a decrease of 9.53% year-on-year.
