Sodium Ion Battery: the first large-capacity sodium ion battery energy storage system in the country successfully developed. On April 6th, the Guangxi Power Grid Company of the Southern Power Grid, together with Southern Power Grid Energy Storage Co., Ltd., and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, completed the development of long-life, wide-temperature, and high-safety sodium ion energy storage batteries, successfully producing the first large-capacity sodium ion battery energy storage system in the country. The energy conversion efficiency of the first ten-megawatt-hour sodium ion energy storage system developed in this project reached over 92%, accelerating the construction of the national key research and development project "Hundred-Megawatt-Hour Sodium Ion Battery Energy Storage Technology" demonstration project.
