Recently, the Hometown New Materials R&D team successfully registered the aluminum alloy grade as 6B61, which was reviewed by the China Nonferrous Metals Standardization Committee. This alloy was developed by the Hometown National Center and the Hometown Research Institute's doctoral team. The registration application was submitted on August 1, 2023, and after procedural review, it was successfully registered on March 11, 2024. The new alloy 6B61 breaks through the mechanical performance and extrusion performance bottlenecks of the 6061 alloy, making it particularly suitable for automotive structures, battery trays, and other designs, providing better performance and higher production efficiency while reducing costs.
