[SMM Analysis] China’s exports of various titanium metals increased by 25% year-on-year from January to February

According to customs data, China exported a total of 5,902 tons of various titanium metal products from January to February 2023, a year-on-year increase of 25%; from January to February, China exported 838 tons of titanium sponge, a year-on-year increase of 89%; from January to February, China exported 5,064 tons of various types of titanium metal products, a year-on-year increase of 18.5%.

According to SMM analysis, due to the decline in the price of titanium sponge, titanium metal market purchases recovered in January and February. The increase in exports of titanium sponge, titanium processed materials and titanium products is a good signal. With the recovery of titanium cost-effectiveness, some materials have become substitutes. Strong products may use titanium materials, which is a good trend for titanium processing companies.
