National Power Investment Corporation's 450,000-kilowatt wind power energy storage project approved, laying the foundation for resuming construction of the Zhaalu Phase II project. Recently, the coal-fired self-owned power plants 7# and 8# units of Inner Mongolia Huomei Hongjun Power Generation Company's renewable energy substitution project received approval from the Energy Bureau of Tongliao City, marking another key progress in the new energy transformation and development of National Power Investment Corporation's Inner Mongolia Company. This will lay the foundation for resuming construction of the Zhaalu Phase II project. According to the approval, the project will construct a 450,000-kilowatt wind power project within Zaruud Banner and also build a 100MW/200MWh new energy storage system. The total electricity generation capacity of the project from new energy sources will be 15.07 billion kilowatt-hours, with a total electricity generation ratio of 40.86%. The project will have a new energy consumption volume of 14.42 billion kilowatt-hours, substituting for 7# and 8# units with a generation ratio (consumption ratio) of 39.80%.
