【Ministry of Natural Resources: Ocean Shipbuilding Industry Value Added Increased by 17.6% in 2023】 According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, in 2023, the value added of the marine manufacturing industry was 2.9861 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.0% over the previous year, and 2 percentage points higher than the growth rate of the national manufacturing industry. Among them, the value added of the marine shipbuilding industry was 115 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6% over the previous year. Shipbuilding has made solid progress in high-end, intelligent, and green development, entering a new period of full spectrum product development. The marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry has developed well, maintaining a leading position in the international market share, achieving a value added of 87.2 billion yuan for the whole year, a 5.9% increase over the previous year. The demand for chemical products in both domestic and international markets is strong, leading to increased production and sales, with the value added of the marine chemical industry reaching 434.3 billion yuan, a 10.0% increase over the previous year.
