SMM Coking Coal Market Weekly Report: Key Points: On the supply side, the fourth round of coking coal price reductions was implemented this week, exacerbating losses for coking coal enterprises. Some companies further expanded production restrictions, leading to a noticeable reduction in supply. On the demand side, after the fourth round of coking coal price reductions, steel mill profits improved and blast furnace operating rates saw a slight recovery. However, considering the weak downstream steel terminal transactions, steel mills' resumption of production is slower than expected, and there is a weak enthusiasm for raw material procurement. Looking ahead, due to severe losses, coking coal enterprises have a strong willingness to support prices, but downstream steel mills have poor sales and weak procurement enthusiasm. It is expected that coking coal prices will remain stable next week.
