Today, seven departments jointly issued the 'Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Green Development of the Manufacturing Industry', which mentioned the need to strategically plan for future industries in the green and low-carbon sectors. It focuses on the energy revolution and industrial transformation demands under the 'dual-carbon' goals, and plans the layout of future energy and manufacturing industries such as hydrogen energy, energy storage, biomanufacturing, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). It aims to meet the demand for hydrogen in the petrochemical, steel, transportation, energy storage, and power generation sectors, and to build a complete industrial chain technology and equipment system for hydrogen energy production, storage, transmission, and utilization, improving the economic efficiency and completeness of the hydrogen energy technology and industrial chain. It also focuses on various applications of energy storage in power supply, power grid, and user side in different scenarios, and develops new energy storage technologies to create a product matrix of energy storage technologies required for the new power system, achieving large-scale application of energy storage in multiple time scales.
