According to the profit sheet of imported ore from SMM, the profit after the Spring Festival has increased compared to before the festival. From a fundamental perspective, considering that most steel mills mainly consume internal inventory during the Spring Festival, there is some demand for replenishing the inventory after the festival. In addition, according to the SMM's tracking of blast furnace maintenance, some blast furnaces have plans to resume production after the festival. Overall demand for iron ore will increase, providing some support for ore prices. However, considering the poor performance of steel mill profits during the off-season and the continuous accumulation of iron ore port inventories, the magnitude of the ore price increase is being suppressed. In the short term, it is expected that iron ore prices will fluctuate with a bias towards strength, and there is a possibility of a slight increase in imported ore profits.
