SMM Steel Morning Post: On the first day after the holiday, hot coil spot prices in many areas saw a substantial increase. According to SMM, domestic mine production decreased slightly during the spring holiday, with some mines experiencing short-term shutdowns and vacations. It is expected that production will gradually return to normal after the holiday. From a pricing perspective, during the spring holiday, some steel mills raised the bid prices for fine powder, and current market transaction prices have increased compared to before the holiday. From a fundamental perspective, after the end of the spring holiday, some steel mills have a certain expectation of replenishing their inventories, and blast furnace operations are trending upward, providing support for ore prices. Therefore, it is expected that domestic ore prices may experience a slight increase, but the potential for short-term increases is limited.
